The Maidea company has signed a regional premium partnership with Aerohive Networks, the fastest growing global manufacturer of professional Wi-Fi equipment. With this contract, Maidea will provide Aerohive network equipment and infrastructure for the Croatian and regional market, ensure continuous education, training and demo workshops, and continue its cooperation with existing users.
Aerohive Networks is a US company established in California in 2006, with offices in the UK and China, producing computer network equipment. Following the acquisition of Pareto Networks in 2011, it upgraded its business by venturing into cloud management. The company saw a period of robust growth between 2009 and 2012, during which it signed partnerships in order to ensure the availability of network technology on the European market as well. With this partnership, Maidea expanded its market share and service portfolio for large businesses. It is worth remembering that Maidea is a wholly domestically-owed enterprise specializing in software solution development which entered the Swiss market this year in May and has started negotiations in Western European countries. Recognizing the market need for managing after-sales and logistics processes using IT systems whose functionality cannot be fully delivered by available CRM or standard ERP solutions, the Maidea development team has created the MAIDEA ServiceApp solution, which ensures quality and continuity in after-sales process management, for which the company is renowned today. Realizing that only by offering an all-encompassing service they can compete with large ICT providers, Maidea started a new business chapter by signing a partnership with Aerohive Networks.
Maidea will achieve market presence with a strategic partner, Aero-IT from Slovenia, a regional distributor of Aerohive network solutions for Eastern and Southern Europe, and Poland. CEO of Aero-IT Aleš Gošek emphasized the importance of this strategic cooperation: “Maidea has become a partner of Aerohive owing to its references from the telecommunications industry and to large business customers in both Croatia and the region. The enthusiasm and knowledge they have shown, along with an innovative approach to creating and implementing ICT solutions, have been crucial for this partnership. Today, Aerohive Networks is a market leader in new and innovative approaches to management of IT network solutions; therefore, cooperation with Maidea is a logical continuation of this trend of growth and development.”
Aerohive Networks is currently recording a growth of 100% per year in Croatia, and cooperation with Maidea will ensure its continuation together with persistent market presence. The significance of the cooperation is confirmed by the fact that Maidea has already obtained over 14 Aerohive certificates in the field of sales, maintenance and after-sales for all Aerohive solutions at the very beginning of the cooperation. “It is a great honor to become a premium partner of Aerohive, which comes as an acknowledgement of our engagement, effort and continuous improvement of knowledge in the field of service management for large business users. We are aware that only an integrated approach can provide first-class service, and we strive to achieve precisely that in order to implement our business strategy and ensure continuous growth and development,” stated CEO of Maidea d.o.o. Matija Matijevac.
The Aerohive infrastructure is specific due to its nature of having no physical devices serving as controllers and its unique and simple configuration system using a central location for network management and configuration (NMS). Given that the network functions without a central controller, it has been possible to design an infrastructure with low latency at all locations, with genuine L2/L3 roaming, and to eliminate the single failure point which is present in systems with a centralized controller. In case the configuration and management system is unavailable, the Aerohive network infrastructure operates without interruption and without affecting the work of end users.
Maidea held its first Aerohive testflight in Zagreb during June, while still in negotiations with Aerohive Networks, hosting representatives from 12 large Croatian corporations. The company plans to launch the Aerohive website and online presentation portfolio for Croatia and the region in the third quarter of this year, as well as a series of Aerohive testflight workshops within the region. Thus, large business users will be able to directly use the equipment to acquaint themselves with all of its functionality and to apply it for testing within their own organization. Using the equipment in a business environment is precisely what brings direct benefits to companies and highlights the importance of safe use of wireless technology. In addition to the Aerohive workshops, Maidea and their partner Aero-IT will organize a one-day Wireless Conference in order to present innovations in cloud managed and controller-less wireless network technologies, wireless network security, and best examples from practice.
